For this collection were chosen photos, which show the weapons used during the Warsaw Uprising by the Polish, as well as the Germans. Here you can see the weapons of insurgent production: flame throwers, Molotov cocktails and Błyskawica submachine guns, produced in underground gunsmith workshops, and also weapons from the Allies airdrops: British anti-tank weapon PIAT and Sten submachine guns. Motionless German tanks and assault guns appear. The reporter series of Eugeniusz Lokajski “Brok” document the disarming of a dud German mortar shell, which pierced floor of “Adria” cafe in City Centre. Retrieved explosive material was used to fill insurgents’ grenades. However, the most presentable are the portraits of the insurgents, who readily posed for memento photos with different kinds of weapons, often worn on their belts.
