The group of photos showing women is very diverse. There are portraits of women of Warsaw, both during the occupation and after the war; photos of female paramedics, liaison officers and other women who took part in the Uprising. Women also feature in photos of Insurgent Units, civilians and POWs. Throughout the Uprising, we find women building barricades and working in field kitchens, carrying the injured and burying the fallen, marching in units and taking part in ceremonies.
