Post and Communications start slideshow >

A small number of photos document an important element of war-time activities: the maintenance of communications between insurgent units. The photos show telephone lines being erected and the conditions under which the telegraphists worked. Civilians maintained contact with their loved ones thanks to the activity of the Postal Service run by Scouts; around 40 post boxes were erected during the Uprising.
